Cal's Personal Manifesto

1. I am a person who loves deeply. I believe true love is unconditional--no matter what has happened between me and someone else, my arms are open. I will never turn someone away who was once integral to my day-to-day life at some point.

"True love stories never have endings."

2. I believe that I am who I meet. People shape who I am, and I will carry what I learn from others forever. Whether it be the way I speak or how I literally use Neocities, even if people are not in my life anymore, I hold parts of them with me no matter what. Even if things ended poorly.

"Maybe I’m like a museum filled with memories of everyone I’ve loved."

3. Life genuinely is not as bad as it could be. I could list one good thing about every day. I believe everyone should try to find one positive thing about every day. I wish I did this during my hardest times, but at least it is a habit of now. We all deserve to be able to see even a small semblance of light each day.

"Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day."

4. I think that grief is love within your heart that did not get a proper outlet before a loss. whether that be a person, a pet, or something else. That love your heart has to hold onto instead of being channeled toward the thing that is loved. Grief is love. If you didn't love something, you wouldn't grieve it.

"When you say their name, you are not reminding me that they died, you are letting me know you remembered that they lived."
